Terms of Use
Last updated 15 August 2026
Fork Ally is a tracking tool, not a medical service. It estimates nutrition using AI and public food data. Those figures are approximations, not measurements, and nothing in the app is medical or nutritional advice. Talk to a doctor or dietitian before making decisions about your health. Allergy flags check food names only and cannot see unlisted ingredients, so always read labels yourself. In a suspected allergic reaction, call your local emergency number.
These terms are an agreement between you and Outer Creative, Inc. (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the Fork Ally app and this website. By using Fork Ally you accept them. If you do not, please don't use the app.
1. What Fork Ally is, and is not
Fork Ally records what you eat, estimates its nutritional content, and computes calorie and macronutrient targets from figures you supply. It cites published research to explain how it arrives at those targets.
It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. It does not provide medical, clinical, dietetic, or psychological advice. Referenced research describes what investigators observed in groups of people; it is not a finding about you.
You are responsible for decisions you make about your own eating, training and health. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from or are at risk of an eating disorder, or take medication affected by diet, talk to a qualified professional before using an app like this one to guide what you eat.
2. Estimates and accuracy
Nutrition figures come from AI interpretation and public food databases. They will sometimes be wrong. Portion sizes, preparation, brands and recipes all move the real numbers, and the app cannot see any of that. Review what the app produces before saving it — the app is built to ask you to, and never logs anything until you confirm.
Allergy and dietary flags match food names. They cannot detect hidden ingredients, cross-contamination, sauces, or anything not written down. Never rely on Fork Ally to keep you safe from an allergen.
3. Your account
You need an account to use Fork Ally. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Give us accurate information, and tell us if you think someone else has access. You must be at least 16 to use Fork Ally.
You may delete your account at any time from inside the app, which removes your data from our servers. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, as described below.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Fork Ally offers a free tier. Some features may require a paid subscription (“Premium”). Where they do:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
- Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by region. We may change prices for future periods, with notice.
- Any unused portion of a free trial, where one is offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Purchases are handled by Apple, and Apple's refund policy applies. We cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves; request them through Apple. Free credit earned through referrals or granted by us has no cash value, is not transferable, and can be withdrawn if it was obtained by abuse.
5. Fair use
AI features cost real money per request, so they carry usage limits. Please don't:
- automate, script, or resell access to the app or its AI features;
- create accounts in bulk, or evade usage limits or referral rules;
- attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
- upload content you have no right to upload, or anything unlawful.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that do these things.
6. Your content
What you log stays yours. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your data, back it up, and send the parts you ask us to interpret to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your food log to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
7. Availability
We try to keep Fork Ally running, but we don't promise it will be available without interruption. Features may change, and we may discontinue the service — if we ever do, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fork Ally is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that nutritional estimates, targets, or projections are accurate or suitable for you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Fork Ally. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Fork Ally after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located there have jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, which these terms do not remove.
12. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Fork Ally. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, where applicable; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
